Privacy Notice
Last updated September 29, 2026
This notice explains what personal information iSALON Alameda collects when you visit our website, book an appointment, check in at the salon, or pay for a service, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to book and care for you:
- Contact details — your name, email address, and phone number when you create an account, book, or check in.
- Appointment history — the services you book, the stylist you see, dates and times, and notes our team keeps about your hair (for example, a color formula) so your next visit picks up where the last one left off.
- Payment details — payments are processed by Stripe. We see the card brand, the last four digits, and whether the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages — texts and emails you send us, and the confirmations and reminders we send you.
- Sign-in and device data — the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) our hosting providers record to keep the site secure.
How we use it
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments.
- To take deposits and payments, and send receipts.
- To answer your messages and questions.
- To remember your preferences and service history.
- To keep our systems secure and meet legal and tax obligations.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Text messages
We text you only if you've agreed to receive texts. Messages are about your appointments — confirmations, reminders, and replies to your questions. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop texts, or START to turn them back on.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the salon, and only as much as each one needs:
- Supabase, which hosts our website, database, and sign-in.
- Stripe, which processes card payments.
- Resend, which delivers our emails.
- Bird, which delivers our text messages.
- Google Calendar, where a stylist may choose to see their own appointment schedule.
- Google Maps, which shows the map of our location at the bottom of each page. Your browser loads it straight from Google, so Google receives your IP address and browser details, and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our clients and team.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to make booking work. We don't use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. The embedded Google map is the one exception: Google may set its own cookies when the map loads, which you can block in your browser settings without affecting the rest of the site.
Reviews
We may show reviews you've posted publicly on sites such as Google or Yelp on our homepage, with your name shortened. Ask us and we'll take yours down.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and appointment history while your account is open, so we can care for you over time. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal information unless we're required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you the personal information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and personal information.
- Stop sending you texts or emails.
You can update your contact details yourself from your account profile. For anything else, contact us below — we'll respond within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking. California residents may also ask what information we've shared with others for their marketing; we don't share it for that purpose.
Security
Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that protect it with industry-standard safeguards. Only our team members who need it to serve you can see it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and let us know if you notice anything unusual.
Children
Our website isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. A parent or guardian should book appointments for younger clients.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
